Comprehensive rehabilitation of a distinctive dwelling on the Costa Brava, combining heritage preservation, contemporary comfort and harmony with the surrounding landscape.
El projecte afrontava el desafiament de recuperar i actualitzar una edificació existent amb un alt valor arquitectònic i emocional, mantenint-ne la identitat original. L’objectiu era conservar la volumetria i l’estructura de la casa, incorporant millores tècniques i de confort que permetessin adaptar-la als estàndards actuals sense perdre el seu caràcter mediterrani.
The intervention combines restoration and modernisation with a respectful approach. Structural elements were reinforced and the roof was fully renewed, faithfully reconstructing the perimeter balustrade with architectural concrete balusters.
Inside, high-efficiency systems have been integrated—aerothermal energy with underfloor heating, home automation for climate and lighting control, and an integrated sound system—providing comfort and functionality without altering the essence of the home.
The selected materials—white stucco, natural stone, ceramic and wood—dialogue with the coloured renders and iroko wood joinery of the façades, creating a balanced and coherent whole. Landscaping and exterior adaptation works further strengthen the connection with the surroundings, integrating the house into the natural landscape of Begur.
At CERCLE GESPROMAT, we assumed the comprehensive management of the project, coordinating all phases with personalised attention and rigour.
Our role was to ensure the technical and aesthetic quality of every detail, overseeing compliance with deadlines and the preservation of the dwelling’s original character. The result is a rehabilitation that combines authenticity, comfort and heritage value, highlighting the potential of Mediterranean architecture reinterpreted with sensitivity and precision.
