A pioneering model of local energy transition with European recognition
The VILAWATT project, promoted by the Viladecans City Council with the support of the European Union, was recognised as one of the 25 most innovative initiatives on the continent at the RegioStars Awards 2020, which highlight exemplary European projects in regional development.
Selected in the category “Citizen engagement for cohesive European cities”, VILAWATT represents a new model of energy management based on public–private collaboration and the direct involvement of citizens.
CERCLE GESPROMAT participated by contributing its experience in the management and coordination of complex projects, ensuring technical coherence and the feasibility of the actions within a high-level European framework.
